Your new role

Your new role involves managing and resolving disputes within the UK side of the business. The disputes would focus on a wide ranging issues including: Defects, Delay, Disruption, Loss, Payment disputes. You will be expected to provide training to the business on an ad hoc basis and in a more structured format as the business requires. You will also be expected to develop excellent working relationships with senior management teams in all UK Divisions to inspire trust and respect in your ability to advise. You will be required to liaise with and manage external counsel. The role requires the capability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels, dealing with a varied workload and complex disputes, requiring timely commercial and legal advice within tight deadlines.


What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will be UK qualified with 5+PQE (but candidates with other levels of experience will also be considered). You will have solid experience working on contentious matters within an in-house construction team or a top ranked private practice firm. You will also have excellent knowledge of construction suite contracts, while a working knowledge of PFI contracts would be desirable
