Paralegal/Trainee Legal Exec - Litigation/Debt Recovery

Our client is a leading regional law firm looking to add further strength to its London offering. We are recruiting for a confident and highly organised Trainee Legal Executive/Experienced Paralegal to join our client's Commercial Litigation team. Working directly to the Partner, you will spend the majority of your time acting for one large client, covering the full spectrum of debt recovery work, including:

• Dealing with claims from commencement through to trial
• Drafting letters before claim and responding to calls and letters from debtors
• Issuing proceedings for recovery of disputed debts and document drafting
• Making / opposing applications and drafting witness statement
• Enforcing judgements including applications for: Debtors to attend court for questioning, High Court writs of control, Attachments of earnings, Charging orders and orders for sale and Third party debt orders
• Statutory demands and bankruptcy petitions
• Dealing with a high volume caseload
• Meeting clients in person to discuss instructions and case progression
• Management Information reporting

The role will also involve assisting the Partner on other client matters.

You will be seeking to take on high levels of responsibility from the outset, and be keen to learn and progress over time. This is a busy and challenging role and you will need to be highly motivated, organised and methodical in order to manage the workload. You will have previous experience of working in a commercial litigation team, or have experience of debt recovery.

Salary £35,000 + competitive benefits package.
