Locum Debt Recovery Paralegal/Legal Officer

My client is a personable in-house legal team who serve a local authority in Hertfordshire. They are looking to recruit an enthusiastic civil litigation paralegal to the team on a full time, temporary basis. There is also strong likelihood that this role will be offered on a permanent basis if the temporary assignment is progressing well.

This is an opportunity to join a long established legal team who are consistently working on a number of interesting projects. The successful applicant will be providing an administrative service, supporting all members of the legal team.

Particular duties will include:
* Assisting with debt recovery transactions
* Drafting claim forms, statements and court documents
* Liaising with client departments in relation to case progression
* Supporting lawyers by preparing their documents and maintaining court bundles

The ideal candidate will have completed the LLB and LPC and be able to demonstrate knowledge of debt recovery procedure and other civil litigation matters.

The ideal applicant will also have strong ICT skills including familiarity with case management software. Strong communications skills are important as is the ability to build friendly yet professional relationships with a range of different professionals.

This role pays an hourly rate of £18 PAYE/£24 Umbrella per hour.
