The Team
Norton Rose Fulbright’s London-based US corporate finance team sits within, and works on a fully integrated basis, with the firm’s London-based UK corporate finance teams on international equity and debt capital markets offerings as well as cross-border M&A transactions, providing the US securities and corporate law advice associated with those transactions. The US team also regularly works with corporate teams in other Norton Rose Fulbright offices as well as independent law firms in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
The Role
We are seeking a New York qualified associate to join our team. The role involves advising investment banks, issuers and selling shareholders on the application of the US securities laws in an international context, including the drafting of prospectuses and offering memoranda, underwriting agreements and related documents. The position is based in London, but involves travel within EMEA.
Skills and Experience Required
We will consider junior and mid-level applicants ideally with a JD agree from a respected US law school. Experience working on cross-border transactions is not required, but the candidate should be interested in applying his or her technical legal knowledge and professionals skills in an international setting. Excellent analytical and drafting skills required. Relevant foreign language skills are not required, but are a plus. The ability to communicate effectively in multicultural environments is a must.
