Hudson Legal have been instructed on a new Commercial Litigation / Arbitration contract role with a US firm. Our client is large globally, with offices spanning the US, Asia, Europe and the Middle East, however they have a small team feel in London. Due to growth of the team, they are looking for a mid-level Associate to join initially on a 6 month contract, with the strong possibility of transitioning to a permanent role.
The team works on a broad range of Commercial Litigation and Arbitration matters and Associates work across Partners, so are exposed to a breadth of work. They are particularly interested in someone who has a good split of experience between the commercial courts and arbitration experience, rather than someone who has been focusing purely on investigations. Experience of injunctions and freezing orders would be beneficial, although is not required. They have a focus on clients within the energy and financial services sector and within emerging markets.
Our client does not fit the stereotypical US firm environment and although the team is busy, they offer a supportive, collegiate and positive working environment. Associates are given a high level of responsibility and client contact, however support is available. Genuine career progression is on offer, as well as the opportunity to grow with the firm.
The successful candidate is likely to have:
* Strong academics
* Broad mix of Disputes experience
* UK qualified
* 3-5 years PQE
* Available at short notice
* Experience within a reputable firm
* To be driven and ambitious
