In house Commercial Paralegal

Our client is a high tech business at a key point of it's developmental growth. They have an established legal function, and are based in pleasant offices in central Newcastle.

They are currently looking to recruit an in house commercial paralegal to work alongside the experienced General Counsel, on a wide range of tasks. The role could very much expand depending n your abilities and aptitude, but initially is expected to comprise the following:

- General legal support by drafting correspondence and reports, managing corporate records and documents, initiating telecommunication meetings and drafting corresponding minutes.
- Assisting with the drafting and revision of a broad range of agreements eg NDA's / confidentiality agreements, licensing agreements terms and conditions and other commercial agreements.
- Managing the contracts database
- Undertaking legal research projects.
- Some Company Secretarial duties, eg minute taking for the board, document drafting and filing at Companies House

It is a great opportunity for someone looking to work in genuinely interesting and cutting edge business. There are strong opportunities for training and development. Remuneration is expextd to be in the region of £24k - £27k. To be considered for this role, you'll need an LPC or suitable paralegal qualification, and at least 12 months practical legal experience in a commercial contracts related discipline.
