An exciting opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join the team of this Birmingham based Professional Services firm.

Client Details

A Global Professional Services business seeking to engage a Marketing Manager.

Description

The Marketing Manager will:

* Create business plans and subsequent marketing plans, managing the location's budgets.
* Manage local pitches; including scoping, writing and supporting lawyers with rehearsals and debriefs.
* Deliver substantially improved awareness and profile for the firm with clients, targets and stakeholders.
* Lead on one of the firm's non-core sectors. Working closely with the Sector Head(s) to drive the sector proposition both internal and externally.
* Manage the client targeting programme across the office. Providing BD support to help attract, retain and grow local and international clients.
* Oversee PR and communications activities for the region, ensuring and tracking results both direct and from the PR agency (working closely with the central communications team and the marketing teams for each Practice Group, Sector, WIN team and International offices).
* Work with local teams to improve take-up of the Client Listening Programme.
* Define (with various stakeholders) the current and emerging market and technical issues on which we can comment, platforms with the right profile/delegates and run a major programme of media spokespeople/activities on this basis.
* Further define, package and communicate the specialist services we can offer across Practice Groups in the location - both to internal and external target audiences.
* Create and deliver an internal marketing programme to improve the understanding of the region across the firm, particularly UK and International offices, to increase leads and referrals.
* Help to build and manage competitor intelligence for the region to support broader brand and BD activities.
* Support industry sector development and local profile/business needs in the region.
* Oversee the directory and awards submissions.

Profile

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A demonstrable track record within Marketing Management , experience in a professional services environment is desirable

  • Experience of selling in to journalists and maintaining media relationships

  • Experience of managing of digital channels, including social media, channels and campaigns

  • Event organising experience.

  • Strong IT skills

  • Degree Qualification, ideally in Marketing / Communications
