Working with a range of businesses of varying sizes, you will be handling a broad spectrum of corporate commercial work, from company incorporations, through to terms and conditions, commercial contracts, acquisitions and disposals and much more.

Working closely with the commercial property and employment teams in the firm, you will have a fantastic wealth of knowledge and resources to support you in the role. Furthermore, working with other departments means you will really get to know the people in the firm and form relationships with your colleagues from day one.

For a more junior solicitor, this is a great chance to be exposed to a fully-rounded caseload, which could include anything from smaller transactions right through to files with values into the £multi-millions. This role also provides the long term career opportunities, as there is plenty of potential to progress quickly within the firm.

For a more senior solicitor, it is a great opportunity to make that all-important next step and become a leading figure within the team, with a view to progressing to head of department. Not only will you be able to handle high-quality work, but also help guide and supervise more junior team members with their caseloads.

As the firm continues to grow and is looking to further its corporate/commercial offering in the area, business development will also play a part in this role. You will have the chance to network with clients and win new work for the firm, meaning this opportunity would suit someone who is local to the area and has a good understanding of the North Yorkshire market.
