Interesting new litigation role, for an experienced litigator seeking a new challenge and who has an interest in inquiry work. Our client, has a national reputation for being involved in high profile inquiry matters.. You will be joining a team of high calibre lawyers working for clients in the public and private sector. THe team have unparalleled experience of acting on behalf of high profile governmental inquiries, including matters of national security. They have been involved in some of the largest public inquiries conducted in the UK, either acting as Solicitors to the Inquiry or representing core participants. The team also conducts internal investigations for clients who require an independent review of their work and practices.

You will be joining an exceptional firm which has dealt with high profile governmental inquiries, including matters of national security. The team has been involved in some of the largest public inquiries conducted in the UK, either acting as Solicitors to the Inquiry or representing core participants including the Grenfell Tower Inquiry, the Independent Inquiry in to Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA); the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority in the Magnox (non statutory) Inquiry * Acting for a core participant in the Leveson Inquiry (investigating the role of the press and the police in the phone-hacking scandal) ; Other high profile work includes assisting on inquiries such as the Bloody Sunday Inquiry, the Shipman Inquiry, the Rosemary Nelson Inquiry and the Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust Public Inquiry.

You will be an experienced litigator, with a positive , pro active approach and ideally have experience of regulatory or public inquiry work. You will need to be a good communicator able to deal with vulnerable witnesses, the media, politicians, police forces and sponsoring government departments.
