This is a rare and attractive opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor to join a busy mid-sized City firm's Corporate team.
The Corporate team has some emphasis on deals in the Technology (inc FinTech) and Natural Resources Sectors, but deals in other sectors are also commonplace. The work will be refreshingly broad, you'll get to be involved with M&A (public and private), PE/VC, and ECM. Associates in the team generally have an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoy working with start-ups/young companies.
The firm has a genuinely collegiate and positive culture and is a happy home for many associates and partners who have left much larger City/US firms in search of just that. The firm has a sensible approach to hours and you'll enjoy a real work/life balance and, £s per chargeable hour, will be better paid than at some much larger firms.
