Reed Legal have an exciting locum opportunity for an experienced Childcare Lawyer to join a busy local authority based in Greater Manchester.
You will be responsible for carrying a legal caseload which will include care proceedings, placement order applications, pre-proceedings (PLO) and private law matters.
You will be expected to deal personally a complex and significant caseload within the Child care area of work.
You will be expected to conduct advocacy representing the Council at Court, tribunals, inquiries and other statutory and legislative hearings.
You will be required to provide advice, support and assistance to Client Officers, Senior Leadership, Elected Members, Trade Unions, Partner Organisation and other key stakeholders from across the public and private sector on legal issues.
This is a locum opportunity for 6 months with the potential for extension thereafter for the right person.
