Senior Legal Counsel France

Our client

Our client is a leading manufacturer in its field serving the construction industry through it numerous brands with over 150 production facilities across the world and employing 11 000 people.

The role

A need has arisen for a senior legal counsel to sit with the local management team in Paris. You will primarily be responsible for the legal matters of the French business, with the possibility to manage the legal affairs in the other jurisdictions of the South West region. The successful candidate would work closely with the General Counsel and legal peers in the London-based headquarters, and will, on a daily basis, provide broad legal advice on a range of complex legal issues arising from the French business. The scope of intervention will include the reviewing, negotiating and drafting all types of commercial contracts, overseeing the defence and prosecution of certain litigation matters, and from a corporate perspective, the drafting, review and amendment of relevant documentation. He/she will also be involved in supporting the implementation of compliance policies and standards.

Profile sought

You are a French qualified lawyer with excellent drafting and negotiation skills, who is a clear and efficient communicator and able to interact with different functions across the business. You have a commercial mind and ability to handle multiple demanding clients in a fast-paced, growing environment which requires a quick and thoughtful legal touch across several legal disciplines.

You will benefit from a minimum of 8-10 years' experience in an international manufacturing environment and have an excellent level in English.
