BANKING PARALEGAL / SECURITIES ADVISOR - MANCHESTER
Banking Paralegal / Securities Paralegal – A fixed term opportunity has arisen in the Manchester office of this in-house corporate banking team. They are looking for a paralegal or general advisor with securities experience help build a new time designed to improve and streamline the commercial lending process. The intention is to improve the client experience from sanction to drawdown of the facility. Candidates will be expected to liaise with the bank’s relationship managers and clients as well as the banks external panel of legal advisors where necessary to ensure the process is as smooth as possible.

- Previous Experience: Securities experience gained at another major bank would be ideal but the team is also considering candidates with experience in other areas such as general banking, commercial property, corporate and commercial contracts. THE TEAM AND NATURE OF THE WORK
The in-house banking team generally deals will commercial loans mainly with SME businesses, though some are with larger organisations. The role draws on technical skills especially in relation to securities as well as more operational attributes. In particular, candidates will be expected to liaise with various different stakeholders within the bank including members of the credit team, relationship managers as well as the firm’s panel of external legal advisers.
A sound appreciation of securities and credit process would be useful, though it should be stressed that the team is also considering those with a more general legal background. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are equally important.
