Contracts and Compliance Manager
Solicitor / Paralegal / ILEX – 2 years’ experience
South London
£40K - £50K DOE
As an innovative, fast-moving Event Lead Capture company, marketing high-tech solution to global blue-chip companies, commercial contracts, data privacy and security are absolutely at the heart of the business.
As a result of rapid growth, we have now reached a size where we need full time assistance with our legal work.
What they need?
The main responsibilities of your day to day will include:
- Managing contractual relationships with customers, maintaining our standard terms and conditions, data privacy addendum and security centre.
- Planning & running company security programmes, so that our team are compliant with our security, privacy and data handling policies. You’ll also be the point of contact for any customer security or privacy issues, including completing security documents, and setting target dates for planned work to meet requirements.
- Managing and auditing privacy, data protection & data security terms and conditions, conducting regular data and security risk assessments, including business continuity & disaster recovery plans, and investigating upcoming compliance & regulatory changes
- Managing relationships between us and our suppliers, including third party security companies, assuring mutual compliance.
This is a varied role and won’t be limited to the above.
What you need?
You’ll probably have gathered that we need someone who is fantastic with (and enjoys!) communicating, who prides themselves on their organisation and has sharp eye for detail.
- A solid Senior Paralegal/CILEX/Solicitor who is meticulously organised with a hawk eye for detail
- A quick learner, with an interest in new tools and technology
- Ability to manage several simultaneous tasks from their inception to completion
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills with fluency in English. If you can speak other European languages, that is a big bonus!
- Experience in drafting commercial agreements (preferred)
- Understanding European Data Protection laws (preferred)
What can the company offer you?
We’re looking to pay a starting salary of £40k – £50k per annum (dependent on experience) for this role. We are committed to ratcheting salaries as we grow, so you’ll be rewarded for contributing to our growth!
A lot of places boast a great culture, but what’s going on here is really second to none (you have to see it to believe it). You would join an incredibly friendly but high achieving team. We have a set of core values which define us and shape our tribe, if they resonate with you then we could be on to something.
You can also enjoy…
- Tech/ work tools: We supply you with the best hardware, so you can focus on the tasks at hand. We’ll hook you up with a MacBook on your first day, and we’ll sort out getting any additional hardware you need as you get settled.
- Equity: The company is still small, so our new team members have the opportunity to own a slice of the pie through our share options scheme.
- Social: You can enjoy monthly team lunches (we’ll get the bill), various fun events and a company which genuinely gets on well with each other.
- Holiday: We’re all adults here, so we’ll trust you to decide how much holiday you want to take (with a minimum of 24 days).
- Pay: We’re committed to paying competitively so you’re not worried about making a living whilst you’re here.
- Life perks: Discounts on gym membership, cinema, high street brands and cycle-scheme.
- Food and drink: Fully stocked fruit bowls to keep you healthy, free breakfast options
- Learning perks: You’ll get a book budget, so treat yourself to your next reads on us.
