McKenzie Douglas are recruiting for a well sized and reputable business in the South West region. They are a market leader and have an international presence, it is truly a fantastic time to join them as they enhance their brand and size through acquisitions and organic growth.

The business is commutable from the following locations: Bath, Bristol, Swindon, Gloucester and some locations on the M4 Corridor. There is the potential to work 1 day from home per week.

Responsibilities

A dynamic, friendly and supportive team that is lead and mentored by the Director of Legal. The hiring manager has big plans afoot and brings a wealth of experience to the business! Together you shall advise on a wide range of legal queries and take a proactive approach in shaping the Legal function, as well as facilitating further growth within the business.

The primary focus will be on commercial and regulatory matters. Additional responsibilities may include ad hoc litigation, M&A support, competition law, data privacy as well as Intellectual Property & IT – any exposure to these areas would be advantageous but not essential.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor, 2 – 8 years PQE*
  • Confident, personable and a desire to learn beyond your existing area of specialism
  • Any kind of regulation experience – someone that enjoys the technical side of the Law
  • If you have one or more of the following experiences, then get in touch -  Regulation (ideally in the Financial Services or Banking industry) OR Company Commercial OR Corporate OR Competition Law OR Data Privacy/IT OR Financial Services / Banking.
