Costs Draftsperson

Kennedys is looking to recruit Cost Draftpersons for their Costs Team in Sheffield, due to continued expansion.

Team Information:

The national Liability Division at Kennedys is spread across our UK offices and advises on a broad range of liability claims acting for insurers, claims handlers and self-insuring corporations.

The Sheffield Liability Team deals with claims from small claims track up to high value claims.

Type of Clients:

The team acts for a wide variety of clients ranging from large insurers to local authorities and large corporate self insured.

Type of Cases:

The team acts for the liability and insurance division providing costs advice on negotiating and recovery of personal injury and general costs insurance matters.

Requirements:

Experience:

• Ideally some experience of attending Detailed Assessments.
• A good attention to detail and the ability to deal with high value and complex claims.
• Experience gained within either a Claimant or Defendant environment.
• Desirable:
• 0-4 years’ experience* in drafting bills using Costsmaster, drafting schedules and ideally precedent H budgets.
• Previous client contact.
• Experience of providing assistance on costs to the firm’s clients.
