Kennedys is looking for a solicitor with 2 to 5 years experience to join our Liability team based in our Edinburgh office headed up by Rory Jackson. The liability team in Kennedys Scotland consists of two partners, one Senior Associate, 12 fee earners and business services employees.
Type of Cases:
All aspects of motor and EL/PL claims up to and assisting on complex and high value personal injury. Both pre-litigation and litigated files. Promoting early resolution of claims without recourse to litigation.
Experience
Essential:
- Scottish Qualified Solicitor.
- Strong Academics (2.1 or higher degree) or equivalent.
- 2-5 years’ experience in a defendant personal injury law firm*
- Experience of multi-track EL/PL and/or motor claims including larger losses.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of the procedures in the Court of Session and Sheriff Courts.
- Experience of managing disease related case work
- Some Sheriff Court advocacy experience.
- Experience of instructing Counsel and attending Consultations.
- To have had previous client contact and attendance at business development events.
