We have a fantastic opportunity for an excellent paralegal to join our client’s banking team in their finance department. This is a permanent opportunity offering a salary between £22-£26K.
The successful candidate will work closely with partners, fee-earners and other members of the department dealing with a variety of diverse work. Being a part of a busy team, there will be appropriate training and support for the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting basic documents that are accurate, clear and avoid jargon
- Building an awareness of legal issues and keeping up- to date with new developments
- Researching and providing information showing attention to detail and accuracy in written and oral communication
- Providing feedback on technical training and presenting at internal know- how meetings
- Understanding the client’s needs and supporting the team to deliver excellent service
- Maintaining and completing files in accordance with the Firm’s Undertakings and File Management Policy
- Understanding the business development initiatives of the practice group, contributing ideas and supporting the plan
- Building relationships with client contacts and peers in client organisations: keeping in touch with client team juniors between assignments
- Assisting with the preparation of presentations
- Sharing ideas and knowledge and contributing to practice group training
Skills Required:
- 2:1 LLB/ GDL/ LPC
- Legal research (including online sources such as LexisNexis, Westlaw, PLC) and preparing clear, concise research notes
- Organised with a strong ‘can-do’ attitude
- Willingness to learn
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word including styles and hyperlinks
