Our clients are actively looking to appoint an experienced Personal Injury Legal Secretary to join their team in Portsmouth.
This full time role will involve assisting and supporting the fee earners providing exemplary secretarial services. This role involves more than just typing and basic secretarial/admin duties, it will provide you with an opportunity to expand on your skills and knowledge by undertaking duties such as drafting court documents and preparing trial bundles and precedent H forms as well as producing documents using digital dictation and case management systems.
Previous experience as a Legal Secretary is essential; you must have a friendly and professional attitude, be adaptable and willing to take on more complex workloads, subject to training, whilst working closely with the Solicitors/Legal Executives.
The role would suit someone who is organised, works well under pressure, accurate, has an aptitude for learning and excellent attention to detail. The candidate should have strong spoken and written communication skills and must also work well independently and as part of a team in order to meet deadlines.
Candidates must be able to type at least 70 words per minute and may be required to undertake a typing & proof reading test. Excellent IT skills and experience of using Microsoft Office is essential, along with a good standard of education.
You would be working in a friendly open plan office with 13 others and will be responsible for supporting 4 fee earners in a busy fast paced environment.
