We are representing a city firm seeking a lateral partner focused on professional disciplinary work in the financial services sector with a particular emphasis on the representation of individuals who are subject to the FCA's SMCR programme: this may well for part of a wider disciplinary / regulatory practice.
While a strong lateral business case would always be welcomed in this instance it is potentially more important that you be able to demonstrate extensive contacts and market recognition throughout the financial services sector as a trusted adviser to senior executives and managers who may newly come into the SMCR as it is extended throughout the sector or who are already exposed to one or more forms of regulatory risk.
