A new opportunity has opened up for an experienced commercial lawyer to join the in-house legal team at large business in the North. The team are looking to bring someone in on an 18-month contract to undertake a broad range of commercial work.

Commercial lawyer - 18-month contract (£day rate)

A new opportunity has opened up for an experienced commercial lawyer to join the in-house legal team at large business in the North. The team are looking to bring someone in on an 18-month contract to undertake a broad range of commercial work including:

• Providing legal support and advice to the business on a wide range of domestic and international commercial matters.

• Managing and mitigating risk on broad range of a matters including legal, compliance, financial and reputation.

• Drafting and negotiating a variety of legal documents and commercial contracts including supply agreements, procurement agreements and non-standard terms such as bespoke agreements and joint development agreements.

• Delivering training to colleagues in both formal group sessions and on a more informal one to one basis so as to ensure that they have the rights skills and behaviours to allow them to manage legal risk.

• Input and support on M&A transactions

This role would suit someone that has c4-5+ years commercial PQE and has spent a good chunk of time in-house. Naturally, my client's preference is to find someone that's available to start at short notice.
