Paralegal - Construction Litigation
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join the Construction Litigation team at a central London law firm.
The team are recognised by the legal directories as a medium sized niche firm specialising in construction law. They act for registered providers of social housing, local authorities, private contractors, property management organisations and construction professionals throughout the UK. They are also regularly instructed to assist with housing development matters.
The successful Paralegal will be working as a fee earner and can look forward to running their own caseload of Construction Disputes. This will entail drafting advice to clients on payments, defects, loss and expense and insurance issues, work on drafting submissions for the Technology & Construction Court, amending and advising on a range of agreements, such as consultants’ appointments, development agreements, building contracts, agreements for lease, warranties, novations and assignments. You’ll also be attending court.
The ideal Construction Litigation Paralegal will have a 2.1 or above at undergraduate level, the BPTC and prior Construction Litigation experience. Those with more general Litigation experience and a genuine interest in Construction law are also encouraged to apply.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Paralegal with a real interest in Construction to join a busy department in the City. Previous Paralegals in this team have used their experience to help them secure Pupillage, as such this role offers a great level of responsibility and excellent exposure to the full Litigation process and would position you really well for future career development.
