Legal Counsel- In House Business Partner

We are looking for an exceptional legal counsel to join an established in-house legal team. Reporting to the Head of Legal you will provide advice the Senior Management team of this highly successful business.

You will have exceptional interpersonal skills and an outgoing and commercial outlook. The role is highly visible and one offering you huge scope for growth. You will have an unusual degree of influence at the highest levels with the legal team having a strong mandate for commercial input.

Main responsibilities.

• You will be a partner to the business assisting with the meeting of sales targets through expert legal advice and pragmatic and commercial solutions to complex business problems.
• Working with the Contract Manager in support of the UK business in contract negotiations, providing advice and drafting and leading business critical projects.
• Gain a deep understanding of the business objectives and processes in order to help and develop close internal relationships.
• Management of external legal counsel.
• Work on ad hoc legal projects for other areas as and when required.
• Management and mitigation of risk.

Required background

• UK Qualified solicitor with 5 plus years qualified legal experience gained in-house or private practice.
• Experience working with sales teams and software and hardware supply and purchase agreements. Competition, corporate, data protection and intellectual property law will be important to your success in this role.
• Highly commercial in approach
