Our client is a commercial firm in Altrincham and they are looking for an experienced paralegal with at least 2 years experience assisting with a property caseload
The role is:
To provide administrative and fee earning support to a busy residential property team from instruction to post completion.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- File opening and administration.
- General filing, including paper and electronic.
- Handle day to day enquiries via phone, email, written correspondence.
- Actively work to convert enquiries into new matters.
- Gain an understanding of clients' requirements and how to achieve their needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Give accurate prompt, realistic and relevant advice in response to clients' enquiries whilst managing their expectations.
- Respond to simple queries raised by other parties' solicitors and amend documents accordingly.
- Produce standard letters, documents and invoices using case management system with minimal supervision.
- Work with colleagues to reach completion and exchange deadlines.
- Post-completion administration including file closure.
- Ensure proper file management.
- Ensure all time recording is accurate.
- Maintain confidentiality in line with the firm's policies and procedures; including dealing with confidential documents.
- Identify and undertake training and development as required in order to meet personal, SRA and business needs.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties, commensurate with the level of the post so as to ensure the efficient running of the firm.
- Promote and comply with legislation and the firm's policies on equal opportunities and health and safety both in the delivery of services and the treatment of others.
