JDI Legal have over 18 years dedicated to law firms and in house legal teams in the North East region and are working with a large commercial firm who are recruiting an experienced Conveyancing Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer to work at their centrally located offices in Newcastle.
The role would suit a solicitor with 2pqe + OR a licensed conveyancer who can hit the ground running with a caseload where you act for the lender, dealing with the technical aspects of the repossession sales and remortgage conveyancing team as well as performing supervisory and leadership to more junior members of the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carrying out title examinations and making any necessary observations or recommendations to the clients based on their requirements under our SLA
Clarifying and investigating, where appropriate any queries on title and confirming instructions on whether a case is non-standard.
Where appropriate, taking ownership of any case where there is a requirement to carry out title rectification or offering support and guidance to the team member tasked
Co-ordinating training to all team members on any technical aspects
Providing guidance to team members on freehold and leasehold titles and directing them to actions required where appropriate
Where required reviewing and investigating complaints and ensuring the customer, client, and where appropriate any other party involved is satisfied with the outcome
Liaising with lender clients on case specific matters– to include attendance at review meetings, conference calls and dealing with requests for information
Processing complex cases through to completion and checking documents are correct and accurate at completion Signing off, reviewing where necessary and distributing all mail received within the department to relevant case handler
Managing a restricted case load of remortgage files.
Case ownership requiring processing of the case from instruction to completion
Checking of any client / internal MI reporting where required
Ensuring the case management system is operational and suggesting any system changes required
Full time opportunity or 4 days would be considered for the right person.
