Kennedys is looking for a Client Development Advisor to support our Commercial Division. The role will involve business development planning, research & analysis, advising and coaching partners, bids work, marketing communications and some client feedback as well as account management.
The Client Development Advisor will be required to operate strategically, suggesting new and innovative ideas with a hands-on approach to ensure that all initiatives are implemented resourcefully and correctly. The Client Development Advisor will also have the opportunity to support the Clients and Markets team with any project related business development activities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Working with key Commercial Division practice groups: Commercial Disputes, Employment, Real Estate, Corporate, and Insolvency, to influence and advise them on their BD activities and client development opportunities.
- Working with the Partners and Public Affairs, identify thought leadership topics, develop the thought leadership material and, working with Marketing Communications, promote these topics.
- Developing and contributing to the Commercial Division’s programme of events and sponsorship opportunities, defining content and theming messages. Researching, where required, target audiences to support the growth of invitation lists.
- Proactively track and target revenue and client relationships through analysing financial, matter and relationship data. Present trends and findings to the Commercial Division team leaders on a quarterly basis.
- Supporting the Pursuits team on commercial focused pitch opportunities with insight into clients and key practice areas. On occasions, lead on pursuits to deliver strategically important revenue generation opportunities, contribute practice area content and coach partners on bid presentations.
- Managing the Commercial Division Twitter account with support from the Digital team and encouraging lawyers to adopt and maximise social networking tools.
