Senior Legal Counsel

An award winning telecom company based in Berkshire is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel , reporting directly into the General Counsel for a period 2 years.

My client is seeking someone who has fantastic communication skills and the ability to build excellent working relationships. You will ideally have an understanding of the telecom sector and be able to demonstrate significant experience of being the lead lawyer on multi million pound deals.

Responsibilities include:
*Drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts and keep stakeholder engagement in closing these contracts
*Leading on high value procurement and outsourcing deals
*Collaborating closely with stakeholders including senior members of the shareholder teams
*Working closely with the company's business leaders to ensure timely updates and identifying issues
*Managing external counsel


The successful candidate will be a UK qualified solicitor with a minimum of 10 years PQE*. You will have significant experience of negotiating and drafting complex commercial contracts with a technology or telecoms focus. Ability to engage and negotiate with stakeholders is key to this position and you will be required to provide examples. Experience with procurement and outsourcing is also essential.
