Locum Childcare Lawyer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full time Locum Childcare Lawyer within a busy Local Authority in Hertfordshire. The contract is due to run for a minimum period of 3 months, with a high possibility of extension for the right candidate.
The right applicant must be a Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with previous experience working within Childcare Law. Experience of working within a Local Authority is preferred, although applications with a working background in a law firm dealing with Public Law Childcare Proceedings will also be considered.

The ideal candidate should have strong advocacy experience, to include Final Contested Hearings. Additionally your daily duties will be:

• Managing a full caseload of 15+ care cases
• Dealing with all pre proceedings
• Performing own advocacy at County Court and Family Proceedings Court

An attractive hourly rate of £40-50 per hour is offered, dependant on experience. Limited Homeworking may also be considered.
