Legal Counsel

A rare In-House opportunity has arisen with a leading organisation based in Warwickshire. This global business is looking for a commercial solicitor to join a small but busy legal team. This is an oportuntiy to work for a progressive business in the IT sector.

About the Legal Counsel role:

As an integral part of the In-House team you will provide support on a wide variety of legal queries and areas. You will work closely with the Head of Legal and key internal stakeholders.

Including:

*Reviewing and drafting a wide variety of commercial contracts specifically IT contracts.
*Delivering support for all legal and commercial matters including general contractual matters, marketing, internal and external communications and contractual dispute management.
*Drafting, reviewing and negotiating relatively complex legal documentation and contracts.
*Liaising with external law firms as appropriate.
*Engaging with internal stakeholders when delivering legal advice including sales teams.
*Providing support on projects where needed.
*Contributing towards the efficient and effective operation of the team
*Conducting legal research as required to provide guidance on contract compliance and legal / regulatory requirement.

The successful Legal Counsel will:

*Be UK qualified with at least 4 years PQE from a City or large regional practice (or overseas equivalent).
*Prior in-house experience would be an advantage but not a prerequisite.
*Have proven experience working with commercial contracts ideally software and IT contracts.
*Exposure to cross border work will be beneficial.
*Be a team player.
*You will have strong communication skills and be client focused.
*A commitment of delivering quality service is essential.
