An innovative Financial Services business in the West Midlands is seeking to add a Data Protection Manager to their high performing Legal & Compliance function. This hire will compliment the work done to date in ongoing compliance with GDPR by the exisitng team, providing subject matter expertise and process improvement for future growth.

Our client operates in specialist Financial Services markets, with a particular focus on secured lending to the Retail market.

To be considered for this role you will have up to date Data Protection knowledge including changes to the DPA act, and the overlay of GDPR. Ideally this will be in a Financial Services setting, but the team is comprised of compliance and legal expertise drawn from other sectors. What is key is current experience of acting in a Data Protection role in a regulated industry, managing regulatory requirements appropriate to the business and influencing internal stakeholder engagement with policies.

Reporting to the Head of Legal & Compliance, you will provide specialist advice to business which is fast moving, creative, and fully bough in to the culture of compliance. Duties will include conducting of Data Protection Impact assessments, input into the Monitoring programme from a DPA perspective, Reporting both internally and externally, influence the culture of the business, ICO management, and internal stakeholder engagement. There is a huge opportunity for growth in this role and in the wider Legal & Compliance team, so progression is guaranteed for the right candidate.
