A highly successful, respected and innovative international banking and financial services company.
THE ROLE
A lawyer is now sought to join the in-house legal team to provide legal support to its global merchant acquiring business.
Reporting to the senior legal team, duties will include:
-Drafting and negotiating complex vendor and reseller agreements within a designated compliance framework
-Preparing legal documents and reviewing company policies with regard to intellectual property
-Providing legal support and advice for development of technology products/services utilised in payments
-Supporting the company's global product initiatives across North America, Mexico and Europe
-Liaising with outside counsel as directed by the senior legal team, including as required to support global product initiatives
-Providing general intellectual property support and counsel
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate will have 7-10pqe, gained either in house or in private practice.
Your experience will have covered the provision of legal support for complex product development and launch, including support for vendor and third party agreements involving licensing, privacy, technology and intellectual property issues.
Candidates must have strong academic credentials, excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to client service, the ability to lead projects and affect change, and to work in a fast-paced team environment.
A strong background in technology and intellectual property, information security and privacy is a requirement.
Familiarity with payment services and financial services regulations, alternative payment types, mobile wallets, security products, and negotiating agreements and supporting business lines spanning multiple countries is a plus.
