Lawyer – Private Client

Established practice seeks Lawyer to play a key role in the continued growth of a private client team in Hertfordshire.

The Role
We are now actively seeking a talented and ambitious Private Client Lawyer for a specialist team located in the Royston area. The key focus of this role will be for the successful lawyer to manage a complex caseload with no supervision, therefore technical proficiency in all aspects of private client is required. Key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering high-quality, client-focused advice.
• Advising on and drafting Wills.
• Dealing with issues of care and support for the elderly.
• Completing the estate administration process.
• Providing advice on inheritance tax liabilities and how to minimise this.
• Arranging a Living Will and the implications of such an arrangement.
• Setting up and administering trusts.
• Participating in business development and networking initiatives for the department
• Identifying cross referral opportunities.
• Displaying excellent file management skills and meeting firm-set billing targets.
• Keeping up to date with developments in the field of private client.
• Undertaking any additional duties as may be required.

The Candidate

• Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors or Legal Executives with a minimum of two years’ PQE.
• Technically proficient in all aspects of private client matters.
• Has the skills to be able to manage their own workload with no supervision.
• Possess excellent communication and client care skills, explaining complex matters in clear, accessible language.
• Ensures a detail oriented, professional and empathetic approach in their daily work.
• Demonstrates a flair for business development and marketing.
