Corporate Insurance (M&A) Lawyer

Our client a highly acquisitive insurance business is looking to hire a corporate insurance lawyer to work in their London office. The role will be to provide legal support, due diligence, and advice regarding the companies M&A transactions, and provide support on corporate, insurance regulatory and Lloyd's matters.

The role will include but not be limited to advising on various acquisitions and reinsurance transactions in the UK, Europe and worldwide as necessary, including a broad range of stock purchases, mergers, insurance business transfers, reinsurance agreements, and Lloyd's RITC transactions. You will also be providing legal support to and communicating with the wider Group Legal team, particularly with respect to corporate reorganisations and integrating newly acquired businesses and entities.

It is essential that you are a UK qualified lawyer with relevant strong post qualification corporate insurance (M&A) experience, as well as ideally having experience in international corporate insurance (M&A) transactions, collateralized reinsurance transactions and other acquisition transactions. The successful candidate will also have sound knowledge of the insurance and reinsurance industry (with particular emphasis on the UK and Lloyd's). Additional experience with the insurance run-off industry is a plus. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a highly collaborative and fast paced in-house environment.
