After leaving a consultancy 9 months ago to join Pro and, knowing that I made the right decision for my career, I would like to speak to anyone interested in a career in recruitment as we have opportunities in all our divisions (Legal, Tax, Finance, HR).

Before you even start you will have a very clear understanding of how our commission structure works; we all have access to the same calculator that our Board of Directors use, ensuring everyone is aware of how well they're doing against achievable quarterly targets.

With regular social evenings arranged by individual teams or the social committee, we have the opportunity to enjoy time away from our busy yet rewarding jobs. Last year's Christmas Party was a black tie event and our Summer party this year was spent on a rooftop bar. Plus every March, all consultants that meet a very achievable target are treated to an all-expenses-paid ski trip too.

What can you bring to the role?

If you are the kind of person that enjoys building relationships over the phone and face to face, a career in recruitment might be the right option for you.

A "thick skin" helps; sometimes when the chips are down it will feel like the world is against you but if you stay positive and, most of all, let your colleagues know, you will be back on your feet and making a positive contribution in no time.

The ability to think fast will always be an advantage because with no two days being the same, the ability to change your priorities is a skill in itself.
