Venn group's specialist Public Sector Legal team are excited to be recruiting for a Locum Property Lawyer to join a Local Authority Legal team, based in East Anglia.


Our client can initially offer this position for an initial 3 months on a part time basis 3 days per week, with the possibility of extension dependant on workload. If you are able to offer more days, please do still get in touch as this may be considered if you can cover all the work required.


The client can offer extensive homeworking after an initial settling in period.


Applications are welcome from Qualified Solicitors, Barristers, Legal Executives or those qualified through experience, having previous experience working within a Local Authority.


The ideal candidate will be competent in:

  • Drafting, negotiating and completing leases, licences, surrenders, assignments, variations, easements, wayleaves, agreements, title reports and other legal documents.
  • Advising clients on property law and where necessary researching areas of law, in connection with property and related landlord and tenant matters
  • Attending to pre and post-exchange and pre and post-completion requirements
  • Maintaining manual and electronic case management files, working to deadlines and prioritising work as necessary


An attractive rate of £35 - £40 per hour dependant upon experience is offered.
