We are now looking for a HR Assistant to join the HR team to primarily deal with our recruitment administration and be the main Consultant coordinator for our offices in London and around the UK.

This role will be part of the HR team based in the Head Office in Harrow on the Hill.

The main activities of this role include:

  • Responsible for the management of Consultants including:
  • Assisting with the joining process and providing training where appropriate to Consultants
  • Issuing contractual/relevant documentation and ensuring all required documents are returned
  • Dealing with Consultant queries
  • Assisting with recruitment activities including placing job adverts, managing applications/CVs, liaising with candidates and Directors, arranging interviews, making offers and providing feedback
  • Managing recruitment systems/tracker and ensuring that relevant details are updated
  • Liaising with agencies where requested and utilising social media for recruitment adverts
  • Ensuring right to work checks are completed and assisting with background checks
  • Dealing with new starter administration (liaising with IT, etc)
  • Assisting with Induction for new starters including for outer London offices (i.e. collecting documents, setting up refreshments)
  • Managing all business card requests and liaising with the printing company
  • Dealing with external/internal room bookings where requested
  • Updating personnel details on HR database.
  • Responding to HR Queries

Essential criteria to apply:

  • Recruitment and HR administration experience in a commercially, fast paced environment
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a large workload under pressure
  • Well developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with staff at all levels and particularly at Senior Management level on a daily basis
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to write clear and professional emails
  • A self-starter who demonstrates initiative and problem solving skills
  • Professional manner, proactive approach to work and a team player
  • Ability to demonstrate a flexible approach to work
  • Demonstrate the ability to work confidentially, remaining discreet at all times
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office and ability to work with HR/Recruitment databases
  • Previous Recruitment/ HR experience within a law firm would be advantageous
  • CIPD qualification desirable
  • HR or business related degree desirable
