Our client, a truly Global Law firm, is currently seeking a recruitment advisor to work in the experienced hire recruitment team. The team is structured as a manager and four advisors.
Role Summary
The Experienced Hire recruitment team works closely with key stakeholders across the firm. One of the key components of this role is to focus on our direct hiring capability so an interest and experience in this area is key. The exact client portfolio is likely to be a combination of fee earning and business services but this will depend on the individual.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the end-to-end recruitment of fee-earning and business services hires on a permanent, contract and potentially temporary basis, including identifying, attracting, recruiting and hiring the desired talent for the role
- Identifying the most appropriate sourcing channels to attract the best talent for the role; in particular developing direct sourcing channels and creative recruiting strategies
- Assisting hiring managers, Partners and the HR Generalist team create job specifications
- Appropriately screening all levels of candidates from entry level to senior level positions based on job specification and information from hiring managers/Partners and the wider HR team
- Interviewing candidates with hiring managers/Partners or on your own
- Advising hiring managers and Partners and informing them of trends in the market place
- Conducting resource planning with hiring managers/Partners and the wider HR team to anticipate future staffing needs
- Building an ongoing candidate pipeline using research, networking events and database information
- Providing input to help develop, simplify and enhance lateral recruitment processes
- Hosting or attending recruitment events, including recruitment and diversity forums
- Ad hoc project work, including supporting the implementation of the new recruitment process, reviewing the online application process and implementing a consistent approach to recruitment.
Skills and Experience Required
- Previous experience from either an agency environment or a similar in-house role
- Proven success developing direct sourcing channels, particularly with LinkedIn, and creative recruiting strategies including referrals
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to engage and gain credibility with senior stakeholders
- Experience of using a document management system or applicant tracking system
- Ability to manage own work load and prioritise tasks
- Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- A positive and proactive attitude (essential)
- Resilience with the confidence to deliver difficult messages
- An excellent team player
