Exceptional opportunity to join the highly successful Tax practice group of a market-leading top tier Irish firm, based in their offices in Dublin. 

The Tax practice is one of the largest in Ireland and the team advise leading corporations and financial institutions doing business in and from Ireland. The firm are interested in speaking with lawyers from NQ-3 PQE level, who are either practicing as a Tax lawyer/ adviser or additionally they are also interested in speaking with lawyers currently specialising in a different disciple and interested in making a move into a specialist tax position- full training and support will be provided and the firm will assist you with completion of the relevant tax qualifications. Candidates from private practice or in-house are invited to apply.  The firm are also interested in speaking with UK based lawyers interested in relocating or returning to Ireland. 

Role Profile:

This is a broad role where you will have the opportunity to be involved across a range of matters. The group primarily advises on: 

  • International tax and cross border planning for corporate reorganisations, restructurings and inward investment into Ireland.
  • Capital markets and structured finance transactions.
  • Investment banking and banking transactions.
  • Private equity transactions.
  • Transfer pricing.
  • Asset and project finance for international and domestic aircraft and equipment.
  • Mergers, acquisitions, demergers and floatations.
  • VAT and indirect taxes and advisory services.
  • Real estate tax. 
  • Tax controversy and tax litigation.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Ideally, experience of tax would be an advantage however candidates looking for a change in direction and a genuine interest in Tax are invited to apply.
  • Strong academic track record and technical expertise. 
  • Highly analytical with excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Hardworking and resilient.
  • Highly client focused and committed to consistently exceeding client expectations.
  • You are collaborative, with the ability to build effective internal and external relationships.
