Role provides first line contract support to the business and practice managers. It will also involve managing claims, potential claims and assisting with the investigation of Coroner enquiries.

Description
Review commercial contracts and leases for updating internal registers.
Assist with the interpretation of contractual rights and obligations as necessary.
Provide support as required on the drafting, negotiation and implementation of licences to occupy, office services agreements, licences for alteration and commercial contracts.
Develop, implement and maintain contract management system and process documentation as required.
Maintain all contractual, supporting and procedural documentation as required.
Management and maintenance of key registers.
Ensure robust processes for managing claims, potential claims and complaints.
Notify claims and potential claims to insurer (external organisation) and regular liaison with insurer Manager regarding on-going notifications.
Collation and provision of defence information to Legal Counsel prior to case management conference and update meeting with nominated experts.
Coordinate information gathering and reporting relating to Coroner enquiries and requests for reports and for submissions to and attendance at Coroner Inquests.
Work with Practice and Services Managers to investigate and obtain information pertinent to complaints, claims and potential claims and to support them in writing timely and appropriate complaint/response letters.
Monitor all open claims and maintain accurate.
Maintain records of GMC (General Medical Council) investigations into Doctors.
Profile
- Educated to degree level or equivalent (minimum 2)
- LPC Qualification
- Previous Commercial Paralegal experience, either within a law firm or in-house
- Strong commercial awareness, written and verbal communication skills
- Experience of managing competing demands and working under pressure
- Able to demonstrate that you can work independently and without supervision
Previous experience of healthcare would be useful but not essential.
Job Offer
Salary of up to £35,000 dependant on experience.
