Career Legal is recruiting for a Recruitment Assistant to join their Risk and Compliance team in London. This role is currently held by one of two Future Trainee Solicitors at Career Legal, and so this vacancy is to replace them once they leave to begin their Training Contract in September. Therefore, Career Legal is seeking another Future Trainee Solicitor, law graduate, or other graduates with strong interest in the legal space to come on board and join their Risk and Compliance Team. This role is available on a temporary or permanent basis, depending on candidates’ requirements.

The Role

Career Legal has been recruiting for the legal community across London and throughout the UK for over 25 years. Subsequently, Career Legal’s client base includes most of the Top 100 law firms across London and the UK. As a Recruitment Assistant, you will work closely with the head of department to ensure the best service for our clients. You will become a specialist in the risk and compliance recruitment space, so that you can work with clients to source the best candidates for their growing compliance teams. Responsibilities will include: screening and interviewing candidates, writing and managing job advertisements and attending client meetings.

This is a unique opportunity to learn about a different facet of legal work, whilst working closely with some of the world’s top law firms. The salary is competitive and there is the opportunity to earn overtime should you wish to.

Valuable skillsets you will pick up in this role:

  • Senior Stakeholder Management:
  • Interaction with senior and potential General Counsel-level across top international law firms
  • Confidence in managing client relationships and experience in building a network of contacts
  • An in-depth understanding of the legal industry in the City:
  • Insight into many world-renowned law firms
  • An appreciation for business services, which are integral to the structure and success of all top law firms, and the work lawyers undertake in these quasi "in-house" positions
  • Confidence in managing your own workload and creating and implementing projects
  • Collaborating as part of a team

Ideal attributes include:

  • Future Trainee Solicitor, law graduate, or other graduate with a strong interest in the legal space
  • Confident speaking with new people and liaising with clients
  • An interest in learning more about the legal space

Applying

Career Legal is open to hearing from all interested parties. However, this role could especially suit a Future Trainee Solicitor who is looking for interesting work in a friendly environment before beginning their Training Contract. To apply, please send your CV to Career Legal and soon as possible.
