A prestigious US Law Firm is looking to hire a new Business Development Manager to head up the London and a European office on an initial 10 month FTC.  Responsibilities for this role will include consulting with office and regional practice group heads and key partners on development and coordination of marketing and client development plans for the group and individual partners, attending and contributing to practice group meetings and planning sessions, tracking and analysing practice initiatives and how those initiatives impact the group’s budget and evaluates past initiatives to determine whether there is sufficient ROI to repeat those initiatives, evaluating the viability and probability of the development of business prospects and cross-marketing efforts of the practice groups, manage, develop and refine processes and procedures relating to the practices’ business development infrastructure, maintain an acute level of quality control to ensure that all marketing collateral, communications, deal lists, etc. are consistent, error-free and up to date, ensuring processes are efficient and the best possible use is made of available technology and other resources, coordinates with the Market Intelligence team to conduct industry and client research to support business development initiatives. serving as lead project manager for UK/Europe-focused RFPs and pitches and contributes to global RFPs and pitches as necessary, writing new business proposals and produces targeted, tailored responses to RFIs/RFPs.  Other duties include managing area submissions for directory rankings, surveys, league tables and other ratings information, working with the regional Marketing team to hold firm sponsored and other co-hosted programs and events, coordinating with the Director and the Communications team on PR opportunities, managing and developing junior members for her/his team, overseeing daily operations and reviews staff work, manages professional development of staff goal setting, coaching and training, prepares annual performance appraisals and provide timely performance feedback on performance.  Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years Legal Business Development experience, along with strong leadership, communication and written skills.
