In-house Counsel for International Life Insurance Company

I am currently working with a leading international life insurance company which is looking to hire an In-house Counsel for its office in Dublin.

As their In-House Counsel, you will be expected to advise on all legal matters including company secretarial; drafting commercial contracts (including transactional documents); managing the legal panel and costs including a significant litigation portfolio; advising the operations teams on consumer protection, policyholder rights and insurer's obligations; drafting of policy terms and conditions; internal reporting and advising on risk mitigation; liaising with compliance and risk function on company compliance and policies; advising on new product development; project management in relation to implementation of legislation; third party and vendor correspondence; and advising on AML, KYC and FATCA requirements.

The following experience is preferable:

• general commercial contracts experience;
• regulatory experience including outsourcing, product distribution and general regulatory advices;
• data protection;
• drafting commercial agreements in compliance with legislation (i. IDD, GDPR, Solvency II, PRIIPS);
• comprehensive understanding of the Irish and EU financial regulation framework.
• Dispute resolution experience; and
• an understanding of financial products including investment products, insurance wrappers and unit linked funds.
