NQ In-House Lawyer

My client is a newly created technology business which focuses on providing services to the Fixed Income investment management market offering a broad product range of scientific investment styles. They recently appointed a GC from a global hedge fund who now requires the support from an NQ Lawyer who is keen to develop their legal skills. The offices are located in Mayfair in a beautiful open plan setting.

The role requires an NQ Lawyer with a high level of intellect and excellent attention to detail to assist in reviewing and negotiating contracts with suppliers (e. data vendors, IT system vendors, insurers, office lease and related agreements, other service providers). You will focus in reviewing and negotiating documentation for funds and segregated accounts business (alongside external counsel), including liaising with other business areas to obtain input. There is an element of company secretarial work and general Corporate legal matters. This role will expose you to an excellent quality of work where you will learn about the business and the legal framework. As the role requires processing and managing sensitive information, a high level of discretion and judgment is required.

The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a September 2018 NQ Lawyer with some relevant experience of buy side, data or technology experience but that is not a requirement. Candidates must have excellent academics and training from a reputable city law firm. Must be emotionally intelligent with excellent verbal/written communication skills and an ability to demonstrate strong organisational skills. You will have the opportunity to learn new skills and to build relationships with external firms.
