An iconic fashion brand located in Central London requires a paralegal, 6 month contract, to support their UK and International fashion business and advise senior leadership on legal and strategic issues. You will work with a highly talented team of designers where you will advise on a broad range of commercial law matters. They are looking for a confident and commercially minded paralegal who thrives on working in a fast paced business and is passionate about the fashion retail sector.

The Paralegal will report directly to the Group Commercial Lawyer and will provide direct support to the rest of the business, across a broad spectrum of legal and commercial issues. The role will provide a fantastic opportunity to gain hands on experience across all areas of the Fashion/Retail business, taking in a variety of work including contentious and non-contentious intellectual property, distribution, retail, eCommerce, commercial, marketing and compliance.

Over time we expect the Paralegal to take on the following responsibilities:
*Review and draft a range of commercial agreements across a range of business functions
*Support with contract negotiations and administration
*Be actively involved in product reviews and responsible for liaising with product teams to co-ordinate ongoing reviews
*Assist with trade mark and copyright clearance, conduct trade mark and WHOIS searches
*Assist with management of business policies, standard forms and templates
*Carry out general research and draft guidance notes
*Review and advise on marketing materials
*Triage requests for legal support
*Maintain contract documents and contract storage systems online and offline; monitor contract expiration
*Update risk registers and data compliance trackers
*Support with large transformational projects such as GDPR
*Prepare training materials and support in delivering legal training across business

Suitable candidates should demonstrate the following:
*Legal academic qualifications LLB or GDL with LPC as a preference
*Some paralegal experience desirable
*Be passionate about brands and wanting to work in Fashion
*Ability to interpret the law and apply it in the context of the commercial objectives of the business
*Hard working, well organised and able to manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure
*Be pro-active and show initiative at all times. A confident can-do attitude is required at all times
*Excellent communication skills, both in writing and in person
*Common sense approach to work
*Capacity to have fun and enjoy work is essential
