Personal Injury Fee Earner / Paralegal , Leeds

The Firm:

- Leading regional firm with several offices across Yorkshire

The Role:

- Claimant - non-portal
- To be based at the Leeds office
- Full time, permanent
- Acting for claimants - providing legal representation to local and national clients
- Managing files from instruction through to settlement
- Overseeing support staff in the team

Requirements:

- You will be an experienced Personal Injury Fee Earner and will be confident:

* Demonstrating knowledge of CFA and other funding information
* Managing and assessing case specific and financial risk
* Experience of quantum and liability research
* Drafting proceedings
* Giving instructions to counsel
* Taking and writing witness statements
* Preparing trial bundles
* Drafting other legal documents

- You will have broad experience handling non-portal fast track and multi-track RTA and EL/PL matters (essential)
- You will be confident handling litigated files as around 30% of your caseload will be litigated (essential)
- Knowledge of the MOJ portal claims is also highly desirable (but not essential)
- You will be a strong team player with excellent client care and negotiation skills (essential)
- You will possess strong technical knowledge and will be happy to handle up to 130 files at any one time (highly desirable)
