Paralegal (with experience) – Personal Injury

Leigh Day is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join the Personal Injury Department in our Manchester office. This role offers a great opportunity to build a legal career and work on recent high profile cases. To learn more visit Personal Injury.
Key duties and Responsibilities;
- To manage a caseload of predominantly fast-track personal injury claims on behalf of injured cyclists;
- To obtain accurate information and instructions from clients, analyse the legal and practical aspects of their claims and obtain the necessary documents/evidence to provide advice on liability/quantum/costs & funding.
- To analyse and advise on strategy, tactics, and how best to achieve the most successful outcome for each client according to the particular circumstances of their case.
- To progress claims to settlement, conducting litigation through to trial or earlier settlement.
- To ensure court directions are complied with.
- To comply with the Civil Procedure Rules.
To be successful you must have;
- Experience in running a caseload of litigated and unlitigated fast-track Personal Injury cases.
- Genuine interest to work with a leading claimant law firm and passionate about providing access to justice.
- Strong academic background. The ability to deal with clients in a sympathetic and compassionate manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to manage own workload in an organised and methodical manner.
- Demonstrable experience in using a variety of IT packages (MS Word, Excel, Case Management Systems, Outlook).
- The ability to work well as part of a team
