Investment Funds Paralegal

SSQ has received instruction from an elite US law firm client with respect to an opportunity for a Paralegal to join the firm's Investment Funds department in London on an initial six month contract.

The Investment Funds practice have global presence and world-class reputation. This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for individual's strong academics to work with a firm whose clients represent a broad of institutions. Those with specific experience within an investment funds team are preferred, however, this is not essential.

Duties include and is not exclusive to the following:

Producing, obtaining, reviewing and negotiating KYC documentation and conditions precedent.

• Preparing and maintaining drafts of closing checklists and bibles.
• Liaising with clients, banks and local counsel.
• Assisting with the development and maintenance of "know how" materials and intranet portal.
• Performing company searches, reviewing results and preparing necessary formalities documents.

It is imperative that applicants have obtained a minimum of a 2 grade in the LLB or equivalent. Those who have completed the LPC with a minimum of a "Commendation" are favourable.
