Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities as a Solicitor, will be client work – primarily intellectual property, IT and software, e-commerce and data protection. You will be working alongside the business owner who will supervise you as required. You will also benefit from full office management support from our PA/Practice manager.
We are looking for a newly qualified Solicitor or junior lawyer of up to 12 months’ post qualification experience working full-time. Flexible working will be considered.
Required:
- Demonstrable enthusiasm to develop a career in technology law
- Newly qualified solicitor (up to 12 months PQE)
- Worked or trained at a commercial law firm or in-house, but other relevant experience considered
- Experience of contract drafting – ideally including some non-contentious IP law and software/technology
- Comfortable using cloud IT systems
- Ability to deliver advice in a practical and commercial manner
Desirable but not essential:
- Intellectual property and technology law experience at a commercial law firm or in-house
- Worked on commercial, IP or IT disputes
- Data protection experience
- Trade mark experience (UK, EU and WIPO)
- Worked in-house or on secondment
- Interested in being involved with business development
- Some sector or specialist experience – for example work for fashion or consumer brands; university technology transfer; software/IT; start-ups; cloud services
