A global sports and media company are looking for a privacy counsel to act as lead contact on data protection and privacy in Europe.

Reporting through to the global head of Data Protection this role will provide strategic counsel on consumer and employee data practices and policies, vendor and technology agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Negotiate data protection terms arising from 3rd party engagements and consumer marketing, including commercial contracts, data transfers, customer terms;

• Day-to-day contact for all data protection queries and issues within the business, working within the legal team and closely with the compliance team;

• Advise the business and fellow legal departments on GDPR compliance and requirements, in a timely and pragmatic way.

To be successful in the role you will have;

• 5-8 years PQE with three years experience of data protection legislation however all candidates will be considered on merit;

• Excellent technical knowledge of data privacy law, including GDPR, social media and data commercialization legal issues.
