Leading US law firm is looking to hire a London-based Senior Learning & Development Specialist to support the Director of Learning & Development Europe, Middle East & Asia to work with the design, delivery, expansion, organisation and implementation of L&D programmes in collaboration with the wider Talent team on global initiatives.  General Responsibilities will include undertaking training needs analysis including liaising with global offices to identify local L&D needs, helps design, manage, and where appropriate deliver business skills programmes for trainees, junior associates and other business professionals, help support regional legal and skills programmes, produce project plans and conducts relevant research, identify and liaise with external training providers to provide legal skills training, liaise with peer firms to investigate consortium opportunities for legal and skills training in local EMEA offices, identify cost-effective solutions to transfer learning effectively to the workplace and implement identified solutions – researches technology options and capabilities and liaises with relevant stakeholders across the business and support internal faculty of Associate and Partner presenters.  Additionally there will be regulatory and compliance responsibilities including supporting EMEA offices with local regulatory CPD requirements, including relevant accreditation processes for local Bars (e.g. Hong Kong) and the E&W continuing competency regime, help oversee completion of E&W qualified lawyers’ development plans and development records, identify priorities and recommend solutions, keep the Micron documents up to date, including the E&W ‘CPD One Stop Shop’ and help plan for the impact of the upcoming E&W regulatory changes and the Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE).  Applicants need to be degree educated who is an existing L&D professional from a law firm additionally strong project management and highly developed organisational skills are required.  This role is London based however could include travel so applicants need to be willing and able when necessary.
